High Number of Invalid Votes
The Federal Returning Officer in Wiesbaden has announced that 11% of the votes cast in the 2019 European elections were invalid. This is a significant increase from the 9.6% of invalid votes in 2014.
Distribution of Seats
The distribution of seats in the European Parliament following the 2019 election is as follows:
- SPD (Germany): 16 seats
- SPÖ (Austria): 5 seats
